January 2017 Reads

I didn’t get to read as much as I would have liked in January. I have been busy with an upcoming move and have had other stressful life events, which haven’t allowed me much time to read.

Now that things are slowing down a bit, I thought it would be a good time to post what I have read. I am going to work a lot harder on my blog now and will be posting the books I have read each month.

I will also be working on 1-2 blog post min per week. I am looking forward to growing my blog & sharing my love for reading with you!

Here are the books I read in January.

My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dr. Aubrey Drake’s dream was to change the world. All she ever wanted to do was help people. As soon as she graduates medical school, she leaves her small town for the big city to practice medicine.

She’d never realized so much violence could exist in one place. When she finds herself treating a child killer, she takes justice into her own hands.

Feeling as though she did the right thing by exacting justice on a murderer, she decides to set her sights on a serial rapist who has eluded police for some time, leaving countless victims in his wake. She knows she’s burning the candle at both ends as she gathers clues by day and works the emergency department by night until one day she realizes she’s the one being hunted.

Dr. Drake’s brand of retribution will leave you wide-eyed and speechless.

In Harms Way by Avery Michaels. Click HERE to purchase from Amazon!

My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

After the events that took place in Atlanta, Dr. Aubrey Drake decides the only way she can move on is to start over. She begins again as a concierge doctor in a small town on the outskirts of Atlantic City. Just as she starts to settle into a routine, she gets a call unlike any other. With lives hanging in the balance and the revelation that the Mafia is running a human trafficking ring, Aubrey has to decide whether to revert back to her vengeance-seeking dark side or to turn a blind eye. Unfortunately for the Mafia, Aubrey Drake sees just fine out of both eyes.

“In Harm’s Way” is a thriller that will keep you turning page after page.
