I ABSOLUTELY love Kate! She is my kind of girl. She has been through some hard times, but she keeps her head up and just goes with the flow of life. My favorite books are those that have strong female characters because I can relate to them. I don’t consider myself superwoman or anything, but I have been through a lot in my life and it has definitely made me a stronger woman.
What I love most about Kate is her love for her son, Ty. Ty has Autism and this book helped shed the light about raising an Autistic child as a single parent. Until reading this book, I never thought about how it would be to raise a child with Autism, especially doing it as a single parent. Kate does a kick butt job! She has also sacrificed her career by working at a diner as a waitress instead working at the hospital because of the flexibility the diner allows.
From the first time Jake Lewis, aka Hollywood megastar Jackson Jacobs, walked into the diner, he won my heart! I was in suspense the whole time I read the book, keeping my fingers crossed that Jake and Kate would fall in love. The first night I read the book, I stayed up as long as I possibly could until I literally fell asleep with my kindle laying on me!
I felt a bundle of emotions while reading Love Reconnected. Heartbreak, anger, love, hope, happiness, anxiety… just to name a few. The story was beautiful and I hope you will take the time to check out Love Reconnected!
I am looking forward to reading more of the Hollywood Series!
